Seneca PR Student Takes on the World
Aneri Rathod a Work-Integrated Learning student from the Faculty of Communication, Art & Design, is seen off at Pearson International Airport by Beth Agnew, chair of the School of Media. Aneri is presenting “pre-departure workshops” for hundreds of Indian students in Mumbai and Delhi who will be starting their Seneca programs in September. Working in our International department for the summer, Aneri will explain how to succeed in college in Canada, and how the new students can make the most out of their time here.
Aneri was an international student herself, coming over to Seneca from Mumbai last September to study in our Public Relations-Corporate Communications (PRCC) program.
Using her writing skills learned in the program, she also produced a document containing lots of useful information to help the international students have a successful study and living experience while in Canada. Using her research skills learned in the program, she determined what the students needed to know. And, needless to say, she’ll be using her public speaking skills, also learned in her program. Aneri, we are so proud to have you represent Seneca on an international level. You have truly shown us your mettle as a PR professional, and we cannot wait to see where this beautiful journey takes you next! We could not have asked for a better global ambassador!
